Malaysian PM leaves Dhaka

Dhaka, 19 November, Abnews : Malaysian PMMalaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and his spouse Rosmah Mansor left Dhaka this morning after wrapping up his three-day official visit to Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina saw the Malaysian premier off at the VVIP Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9.25 am.

Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khandakar Mossharraf Hossain, the chiefs of the three services, the dean of the diplomatic corps, the Malaysian High commissioner in Dhaka and high civil and military officials were also present at the airport.

The Malaysian premier visited Bangladesh at the invitation of Sheikh Hasina, who made the invitation to Najib Razak during the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in September. Najib Razak and Sheikh Hasina jointly inaugurated ‘Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Memorial Specialised Hospital and Nursing College’ in Gazipur yesterday morning. Sheikh Hasina and Najib Razak had a tete-a-tete at the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday afternoon.

Later, both the premiers joined the official talks where they discussed different bilateral issues, including manpower export and Malaysian investment in Bangladesh. The Malaysian Prime Minister later called on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
